By February 2002, it was apparent that by all metrics, the acquisition of Tetley was not going well. The failure of Tetley to make the required cash-flow targets and the high debt burden required Tata Tea to make some changes. The (B) case highlights some of the integration steps undertaken by the newly appointed integration team.
